Full Job Description

## Description CNC CAD/CAM Programmer Location: Newport News, VA Duration: Full-Time, Contract to Hire Shift Schedule: 1st shift (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM EST) Pay Rate: Starts at $25.00/Hour and may be higher depending on experience. ## Key Responsibilities Create, revise, and maintain CNC programs and associated manufacturing files. Analyze engineering drawings and technical specifications to develop accurate flat-pattern layouts. Convert design concepts and existing components into manufacturable sheet metal parts through reverse-engineering techniques. Collaborate with engineering and production personnel to support new and existing projects. Determine the most efficient machine, tooling, and manufacturing methods for production requirements. Design and specify tooling needs and coordinate procurement activities when necessary. Develop standardized setup documentation, process instructions, and manufacturing guidelines. Utilize CAD/CAM software to improve machine utilization, cycle times, and programming efficiency. Troubleshoot programming and manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
