Your Impact Our SGRE Certified Uptower Repair Wind Technicians will be performing up-tower repairs and diagnostics on medium & major components including Generator Bearings, Generator Slip Rings, Rotor & Stator Cables, Gearbox HSS replacement, HSS bearings, IMS replacement, IMS bearings, Yaw Drive Repair/Exchange, Generator Exchanges & Trunnion Pin Repairs. Carry out daily tasks such as cleaning, organizing, minor assembly, minor service & troubleshooting. They are required to climb vertically at least 300ft. Must maintain certifications in all areas required by the position. The Position is 100% travel currently on 6 weeks on 1 week off rotation. Core Responsibilities Conduct safe and efficient repairs to all Wind Turbine electrical systems. Detailed knowledge and skill in generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment. Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers. Direct Turbine Specific experience is required- GE, SGRE, and Suzlon experience is preferred.
