About the opportunity The Service Technician regularly performs service activation and installs of the Ting fiber network to include construction elements such as conduit, fiber, split enclosures, cabinets and utility locating. Service Techs are at the forefront of Ting’s connection with the community and perform their responsibilities with safety and customer experience top of mind. This role is based out of New Castle, CO. This is a 6 month contract to start with an opportunity to extend. Job Duties Performing general installation of fiber network, including connecting, disconnecting, testing, repairing and maintaining the fiber network. Directly engaging with customers at install locations to ensure timely, efficient and optimal activation/connectivity. Completing installs with knowledge of different installation tactics, including optimal utility placements related to wall fishing. Ability to perform fiber drops on site from handhole to house with supervision. Understand the mainline and drop-blowing process and assist teams with supervision. Understand basic concepts of the data center and its components. Ability to perform basic troubleshooting to identify connectivity issues from home to handhole.
