What You'll Achieve.
ensure that adequate inventories are always maintained; ensure all scheduled customers will be serviced by the end of day; Maintain a high standard of customer service as measured by key metrics (on-time, no missed stops, loyalty, etc.); secure optimum utilization of resources; continually improve work productivity; ensure overtime hours are necessary and all employees are working efficiently; ensure compliance and safety; ensure that employees are performing their functions safely and productively; prevent accidents or injuries
Industry & Context.
resolve service issues; Redirect manpower and resources as required, in order to service customers on routes that may have operational difficulties (i. e. , vehicle breakdown, vehicle accident, or completely full truck)
Must be able to regularly access and use general office equipment including phones, computers, copiers, etc., Must be able to work in a busy, often distracting work environment that is generally climate controlled., Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted on an occasional basis., Must be able to sit for long periods of time., Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1+ years of supervisory experience, Experience using an integrated fleet, driver and compliance management software
Nice to Have
In depth knowledge of DOT regulations, Experience with JJ Keller software, Experience in hazardous waste industry, The ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers, The ability to manage several tasks at once to meet deadlines, The ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information
What You'll Do.
Maintain and manage inventory supplies
Manage route scheduling
Redirect manpower and resources as required
Manage driver debrief process
Maintain a high standard of customer service
Manage open order report
Manage customer interaction records
Monitor operations and staff
Monitor department work productivity
Manage route vehicles
and develop an effective and efficient staff
Establish and communicate performance standards
Conduct performance appraisals
Recommend salary adjustments
Coach employees on educational and job opportunities
Conduct team meetings
Perform “ride a-longs”
Conduct “spot checks”
Perform pre-employment screening activities
Conduct new CSR orientation
Conduct reviews of CSRs
Conduct monthly safety meetings
Complete daily yard walk
Track and input DOT hours/JJ Keller
Administer Company policies and procedures
Communicate with staff
Interpret Company policies and procedures
Ensure compliance and safety
Monitor and ensure that employees are performing their functions safely and productively
Make recommendations for changes or improvements to prevent accidents or injuries
Conduct regularly scheduled safety meetings
Oversee and participate in the maintenance of Driver Qualification Files
DOT Log Files and Vehicle Condition Reports
DOT Logs and VCR are accurate
