Full Job Description
Job Overview Join our dynamic Shanghai team as a Server Engineer and bring your passion for game development to the forefront of mobile shooter games. With a strong foundation in backend development and expertise in C++ and Python, you’ll play a pivotal role in integrating client-server systems, maintaining web login platforms, and upholding the technical excellence of our newest game. Dive into an environment where your skills will shape the future of mobile gaming. Reports to Tech Manager What will you do? Work with game designers, artists, and other stakeholders, support existing systems and create new ones in C++ and Python. Work with game client programmers, integrate the game client with the game servers. Program, debug and optimize codes to implement the game features. Analyzing and understanding existing systems and features of the game to implement new requirements by improving the existing systems. Integrate SDKs with the game. Integrate ThinkingData data analysis system. Responsible for maintaining and developing the existing web login platform; proficient in Python and capable of independently debugging, troubleshooting, and maintaining existing web services. Contribute ideas toward all aspects of the game’s production and development. What are we looking for? Strong experience in C++ server development on Linux. 3–5 years of professional game development experience. Familiar with distributed server architecture and common communication protocols such as TCP and UDP. Proficient in C++17 / C++20 and the C++ standard library. Capable of detecting, analyzing, and debugging memory-related issues. Solid understanding of basic algorithms and the ability to apply them effectively to game business logic. Familiar with third-party libraries such as libevent, Protobuf, libfmt, and Redis client libraries. Familiar with MySQL and Redis. Strong software engineering skills, with practical experience in applying design patterns. Good sense of code quality, readability
