Associate's degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years security, law enforcement, or military experience, Active DC Special Police Officer License, Successfully complete 80-hour SPO training course, Maintain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
What You'll Do.
Serve as officer-in-charge
Assist Lieutenant in supervision
Ensure safety of employees
Supervise and support security team
Coordinate shift and event security personnel assignments
Document performance issues with officers
Provide leadership and direction to officers
Conduct one on ones with shift officers
implement process improvements
Establish and maintain positive working environment
Administer time and attendance functions
Manage uniform requisition process
Conduct shift roll call briefing
Develop and implement shift deployment
Oversee shift rotations
Patrol interior and exterior premises
Prevent and detect signs of intrusion
Ensure security of doors
Detain individuals based on probable cause
Monitor all access control systems
Authorize entrance/departure of employees
Maintain security of premises
Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering restricted areas
Investigate disturbances
Write reports of daily activities
Write reports of irregularities
Circulate among visitors
Interact in professional manner with every department
Maintain time clock during shifts
Ensure officers are clocking-in and out
