### **Job Description:** At Saab in West Lafayette, IN, you have the opportunity to join a team that manufactures the rear section of the T-7A Redhawk military trainer aircraft for the United States Air Force. This flagship facility utilizes advanced manufacturing techniques and leverages research and development to support Saab’s broad product portfolio. As Saab continues to expand their team in West Lafayette, IN, we are seeking a **Senior Tooling Engineer** who is interested in further developing knowledge in manufacturing technology. The Manufacturing/Tooling Engineering function will be responsible for technical tooling work from design, calculation, tooling preparation, documentation, and verification. The function is also accountable for tooling engineering development, tooling techniques, and qualification of new tools based on specific requirements. Responsibilities include: * Contribute to the development of production systems and working methods, influencing the design work to achieve low production costs without compromising function, safety and quality. * Develop new technical solutions and contribute to the development of efficient production systems and assembly lines based on Lean principles. * Deploy advanced tooling options where they can be effectively leveraged. * Ensure the accurate and timely tooling resources are available for the operation, supported by processes to ensure tooling maintenance and calibration. * Drive continuous improvement for tooling resources and processes. * Consistently demonstrate support for the core Company values - trust, drive, expertise and support. * Work collaboratively with Swedish tooling resources to deliver tooling solutions * Contribute to a people-first culture in alignment to Saab values, demonstrating core Company values: Trust, Drive, Expertise and Support * Able to work extended schedule, when needed, to support the business * Other tasks as assigned Compensation Range: $92,200-$115,300 The compensation
