In office 5 days a week for all roles based out of our hubs in San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, Tokyo and London., For roles based in Bangalore, employees currently work in the office three days a week and will transition to five days per week by the end of the year.
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of technical writing or related field experience, Experience using and documenting SaaS products
Nice to Have
Docs as Code/Docs like Code approach to documentation, Writing Markdown-based content, Working in an Agile environment, Using source control systems, especially Git
What You'll Do.
Developing technical documentation that helps people use Postman to design
and test API projects
Synthesize understanding of API skills into resources
Deliver reference and procedural information
Own the docs for dedicated feature sets
Document specific areas of the Postman product
Drive all docs efforts around feature sets
Plan documentation in conjunction with product release cycles
Learn about a feature from specifications
and hands-on experimentation
Carry out editorial reviews on teammates' drafts
Provide constructive feedback
accurate documentation
Align with content strategy guidelines
Represent the Postman product to community and customers
Liaise with stakeholders across the company to establish and address docs needs
Mentor other writers on processes and best practices
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Work with engineers and product managers; Carry out editorial reviews on your docs teammates’ drafts; Liaise with stakeholders across the company; Mentor other writers; Working within a diverse global team in multiple time zones; In person collaboration; Brainstorming sessions; Communication; Building trust in-person
