What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on: * Owning Canva’s global tax technology ecosystem, l eading the architecture, implementation across platforms including Avalara, Vertex, Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE, and Fonoa. * Designing and maintaining reliable, scalable integrations between Canva’s tax platforms and the broader finance ecosystem including NetSuite, Zuora, Snowflake, and other critical business systems. * Driving automation and AI-enabled workflows across the tax technology landscape to improve compliance, reduce manual effort, and strengthen operational efficiency. * Designing and maintaining SOX/ITGC controls, supporting audit readiness, and ensuring robust governance across all tax systems and integrations. * Partnering closely with Tax, Accounting, Engineering, Technical Program Managers, and external vendors to shape Canva’s long-term tax systems roadmap. * Leading sandbox strategy, release orchestration, regression testing, and platform change management across quarterly release cycles. * Building scalable documentation, runbooks, and operational processes that empower Canva’s Finance teams to work confidently and effectively.
