As a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, we operate independently to develop automated driving technology at the speed of a technology startup. Latitude is headquartered in Pittsburgh with engineering centers in Dearborn, Mich., and Palo Alto, Calif. Meet the team: The Platform Systems, Integration, and Test Team at Latitude is responsible for the design, integration, and testing of all interface functions between the self-driving technology and vehicle platform. These functions include motion control, fault handling, and controls integration, along with the overall vehicle architecture. We specialize in parallelized development of prototype functionality and production designs, enabling all of Latitude to rapidly develop feature intent functionality without incurring significant technical debt. What you’ll do: Lead the systems engineering for automotive diagnostics and fault management systems at Latitude Define requirements for the diagnostic system and validation strategies Work closely with the software development teams at both Latitude and Ford in creating designs Work closely with the Integration and Test team at Latitude to develop and execute the Design Verification Plan on benches, simulators, and vehicles Periodically get hands-on with the product and see the designs in action What you'll need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, R
