What They're Looking For.
Must Have
STEM degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience, 1+ years of experience working with E-UMs/TCRs for SOI audits, 3+ years of experience with DO-178 commercial certification process
Nice to Have
Familiarity with the application of the certification objectives defined in DO-178B/C for Air Transport category airplanes, Experience with the Seattle ACO and E-UMs from major OEMs is highly desired, Experience developing avionics systems using Model-Based Development (MBD), Experience with DO-330, DO-331, and DO-332, Experience with ARINC standards such as ARINC 429, ARINC 664 and ARINC 661
What You'll Do.
coordination of program-level certification activities
primary emphasis on software certification
overseeing the development of program plans to support certification objectives
coordination of SOI reviews
directly supporting FAA/EASA Certification Compliance Finders (ODA / TCRs / DERs / E-UMs)
primary interface with external customers and Certification Compliance Finders in support of software certification activities
primary point of contact for the project team for questions against process
Coordinate program-level certification activities
Perform technical coordination with various teams
track and report on technical scope
cost and schedule for certification activities
Proactively identify and manage risk associated with the certification aspects of displays programs
Mentor other team members and help them develop in areas such as certification
and process compliance
assist with other systems engineering team activities when certification work is reduced at certain periods during the development life systems engineering team activities may include requirements capture
system design and modeling
integrating with hardware and software components
system validation and verification
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with other certification focals in the department; Perform technical coordination with various teams, including, but not limited to, customers (internal and external), systems engineers, hardware engineers, software engineers, partner suppliers, safety engineers, and program managers
Communication Scope
primary interface with external customers; primary point of contact for the project team for questions against process, plans, standards, and policies
Process & Methodology
Estimate, track and report on technical scope, cost and schedule for certification activities, Proactively identify and manage risk associated with the certification aspects of displays programs
