Industry & Context.
Contribute towards the development of technical solutions, for large and complex engineering problems
Has or gains and then maintains, SC security clearance, Willing and eligible to obtain, and maintains, DV security clearance, Candidates may need to obtain the relevant security clearance, Handle export-controlled material, Obtain and maintain the appropriate level of security clearance, Must be a British Citizen, Resident in the UK for the past 5 years for SC clearance, Resident in the UK for the past 10 years for DV clearance, Security Clearance Allowance
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or have suitable Defence/Aerospace industry experience, Significant experience and a full understanding of Systems Engineering, the V-Model and associated processes/lifecycles, Significant experience of developing high quality requirements and establishing a fully compliant systems design, Experience in writing high quality technical documentation and the formal technical review of such material, Substantial knowledge of System Engineering practices, methodologies, processes, techniques and technology trends, Experience of DOORS, UML, SEBoK, Enterprise Architect and SysML, Experience of hands-on development of either hardware, software or firmware development, particularly in an embedded environment, SC security clearance
Nice to Have
INCOSE recognition ASEP or CSEP, Technical management experience of a team of systems engineers, Experience working as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and developing new areas of expertise as and when required, Willing and eligible to obtain, and maintains, DV security clearance

Support and offer improvements to Systems discipline

How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Work closely with the system, hardware, firmware and software architects; Work closely with discipline lead/s, project management and engineering project leads
Communication Scope
Explain technically complex concepts clearly to less technical/involved parties; Plan, co-ordinate and present at internal and external design reviews
Process & Methodology
Own the Systems assigned work packages and tasking, Deliver obligations and commitments on time and budget, Achieve optimal balance between requirements, schedule and cost, Ensure compliance with agreed processes, Achievement of project objectives, Estimate time and effort required for systems activities, Deliver to time and effort estimates, Ensure cost and schedule adherence
