We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to own and evolve the IT systems behind our drug discovery and development pipeline, and to lead the modernization of how we operate them. You’ll shape the technical architecture across our hybrid cloud and on-prem environment, set the direction for where it goes next, and stay hands-on in the systems you’re responsible for. We're looking for someone whose leadership shows up in their craft - through technical judgment, architectural thinking, and the kind of depth that others naturally orient around. How you might spend your days Designing building, and evolving IT systems supporting corporate, scientific and manufacturing workloads; we have a hybrid environment including both cloud and on-prem systems Partnering with engineering, scientific, and platform teams to modernize and optimize our IT infrastructure Building and improving standards for systems architecture and operations; you will use infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and automation to improve service consistency and quality Driving improvements in the availability, resilience, and efficiency of our high-impact systems Helping to shape our infrastructure roadmap, balancing pragmatic near-term improvements with future platform needs Leading and mentoring within and beyond our team; growing the engineers and administrators around you and serving as a trusted advisor on hard technical problems We'd love to hear from you if You have deep experience building and operating cloud (AWS) and on-prem infrastructure, and you’ve led technical projects end-to-end: shaping architecture, making pragmatic tradeoffs, and bringing others along You’re a continuous learner who is curious about how things
