Ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. government issued security clearance, U. S. citizenship required, DoD Clearance: Secret, Active and existing security clearance required after day 1, Candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, Experience with System Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent Safety Engineering, Ability to obtain and maintain a U. S. government issued Secret security clearance, U. S. citizenship
Nice to Have
Experience leading multiple with DoD System Safety Programs thought out the entire life cycle, Experience with briefing at the military safety review board, Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Proposal Development, Master’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
What You'll Do.
Lead one or more MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs
Perform MIL-STD-882E System Safety Program tasks and analyses
or customer’s approved equivalent
Work across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls
Perform System Safety Program
Hazard analyses or Design analyses
Brief safety of the program at technical reviews and as part of the safety approval process
Interpret system requirements
customer specifications and military standards
Prepare internal and customer reports describing various analyses relevant to the System Safety program
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Coordinate with customer safety representatives to gain safety approval from appropriate Safety Review Board authorities; Collaborate with Program Management and government approval authorities from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal backgrounds; Collaborate across multiple disciplines to gain a full understanding of product architecture and design
Communication Scope
Brief safety of the program at technical reviews; Briefing at the military safety review board
