What They're Looking For.
Must Have
degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM), minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, U. S. citizenship is required
Nice to Have
Proficiency in FEA tools such as ANSYS (APDL, LS-Dyna, or Workbench), Abaqus, PATRAN/NASTRAN, Experience with CAD/CAM tools (e.g. , NX CAD/CAM, Catia CAD/CAM), Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ANSI Y14. 5, Experience with linear and nonlinear structural analysis using FEA tools, Familiarity with composite materials, adhesives, and advanced manufacturing processes for aerospace applications, Demonstrated ability to perform multi-disciplinary trade studies to optimize structural design solutions, Working knowledge of industry standards and best practices for airworthiness certification (e.g. , FAA, EASA), Prior experience with testing and validating structural components, including data analysis and correlation to simulation results, Experience with automation of engineering processes and workflows using programming tools such as MATLAB, Python, or similar, Leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers
