What They're Looking For.

Must Have

10 to 15 years of structural engineering experience, B. S. degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program, Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE), structural analysis, design, and detailing on a variety of commercial & industrial projects, Design of steel, concrete, and masonry commercial/institutional, federal and Industrial buildings, both in new and existing construction, Lead design team efforts, Manage project team for budget and schedule control, Develop fee and qualification-based proposals, Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor to provide a well-coordinated and high-quality set of structural drawings, Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, Possess critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities, Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external customers, Conduct marketingusiness development activities, Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale, Ability to travel, Work closely with other Coffman offices, such as Raleigh, Atlanta structural groups to complete projects and tasks, Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and time management skills, Desire to lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams

Nice to Have

Design experience with light gage steel and timber is a plus, Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software preferred, Must understand database concepts, Working knowledge of marketing databases and proposal resources files, Local AHJ experience and relationships is a plus, Active local industry involvement is a plus, Project Management experience and/or certifications

Team & Collaboration

Collaborate with the architect, owner, and contractor; Work closely with other Coffman offices; Lead inter-disciplinary projects and project teams; Mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office

Excellent verbal skills; Excellent written skills

Process & Methodology

Manage project team for budget and schedule control, Project Management experience and/or certifications
