### **Job Description** ## **Overview** AtkinsRéalis is one of Canada's largest private sector nuclear engineering groups. We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology. ## **Your role** * Provide technical guidance to resolve structural issues and interpret design documents. * Liaise with contractors, stakeholders and other disciplines to address RFIs, NCRs, and FCRs. * Identify potential structural risks and recommend corrective measures. * Provide construction directions driven by structural design. * Review and comment on the work performed by the others to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and design documentation. * Perform engineering design and reviews as may be mandated for the design changes in question. * Prepare engineering design calculations for repair and reinforcing of structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry and prepare design documents. * Provide technical instructions to Junior engineers. * Attend meetings with contractors, stakeholders and other disciplines to address construction issues and develop effective engineering solutions. * Conduct regular site walkdowns and verify structural integrity during construction stages. * This role requires consistent on-site presence and may involve supporting a shift work schedule based on operational needs. ## **About you** * Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University. Master's degree and above is an asset. * Must be Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada. Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. * Minimum 8 - 12 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures. * Must have experience with static, dynamic and seismic analysis of structures and foundations. * Deep and thorough under
