Must Have
Civil Engineering degree, Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada, structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures, experience with static, dynamic and seismic analysis of structures and foundations, understanding of structural engineering gained through a combination of design-office and site experience, knowledge of Canadian and International Codes and standards used in Civil/Structural engineering, knowledge of use of Analysis software commonly used in Civil/Structural engineering

### **Job Description** ## **Overview** AtkinsRéalis is one of Canada's largest private sector nuclear engineering groups. We have been providing a wide range of services to the nuclear industry in Canada and around the world since for more than 60 years. We are proud to be the steward of Canadian CANDU nuclear technology. ## **Your role** * Provide technical guidance to resolve structural issues and interpret design documents. * Liaise with contractors, stakeholders and other disciplines to address RFIs, NCRs, and FCRs. * Identify potential structural risks and recommend corrective measures. * Provide construction directions driven by structural design. * Review and comment on the work performed by the others to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical information and design documentation. * Perform engineering design and reviews as may be mandated for the design changes in question. * Prepare engineering design calculations for repair and reinforcing of structural systems involving steel, reinforced concrete and masonry and prepare design documents. * Provide technical instructions to Junior engineers. * Attend meetings with contractors, stakeholders and other disciplines to address construction issues and develop effective engineering solutions. * Conduct regular site walkdowns and verify structural integrity during construction stages. * This role requires consistent on-site presence and may involve supporting a shift work schedule based on operational needs. ## **About you** * Civil Engineering degree from an accredited University. Master's degree and above is an asset. * Must be Licensed in a professional engineering organization recognized in Canada. Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario. * Minimum 8 - 12 years of structural analysis and design experience in steel and concrete structures. * Must have experience with static, dynamic and seismic analysis of structures and foundations. * Deep and thorough under
