Knowledge of manufacturing support (NC, Concessions), Knowledge of repairs (SRM, SB), Specific experience in Wing, Empennage, Fuselage structures, or mechanism/doors installation

****Job Description:**** An opportunity for a **Senior Structural Design Engineer** has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the Airbus Derivatives and NGWS Airframe Design Team. This multidisciplinary and multicultural team is responsible for the end-to-end definition, concept, and development phases of major military and commercial aircraft programs (e.g., NGWS, MRTT, PATMAR, AEWC). The jobholder will reinforce our structural design area, taking part in the definition of complex metallic and composite structures while interfacing with key stakeholders and external Tier-1 suppliers to ensure the highest safety and optimization standards. ### **RESPONSIBILITIES** The main tasks of the jobholder will be: * **Design** optimized airframe structures, elementary parts, and major aircraft assemblies balancing weight, cost, and manufacturing requirements. * **Define** design principles, interfaces, boundaries, and key characteristics through collaborative processes with manufacturing and customer services. * **Manage** the end-to-end product lifecycle development using advanced design, configuration, and modeling tools (Catia, 3DX, CWE). * **Interface** actively with multidisciplinary engineering functions such as Stress, Chief Engineer, Manufacturing, and Airworthiness. * **Coordinate** and follow up on the technical design support provided by external subcontracting companies and Tier-1 suppliers. ### **SKILLS** Is your profile aligned to the following list of skills?
