Must Have
7+ years of experience in multimedia software development, excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, Expert proficiency in C++ or Java with object-oriented programming fundamentals, Deep understanding of audio and video compression and processing, background in image and signal processing including algorithm design and implementation, Experience with live streaming workflows, systems, streaming protocols, and network topologies, Hands-on experience with open-source multimedia projects (ffmpeg, GStreamer, NVIDIA DeepStream, x265, SVT-AV1), Experience in large-scale distributed systems and cloud-computing platforms, Knowledge of media packaging formats: HLS, DASH, CMAF with encryption standards, Understanding of CDN architectures and delivery mechanisms, Experience with Machine Learning and GenAI systems applied to media processing
Nice to Have
MS or PhD a plus, AI-driven quality assessment, dynamic bitrate optimization

## Description Job Summary: As a Staff Software Engineer, you will demonstrate strong independence and technical proficiency while collaborating effectively within the team. About the team: Subscriptions and Payments Team powers the end-to-end direct monetization engine for India’s largest subscription platform, with over 250M+ subscriptions. We build scalable, multi-tenant systems for acquiring users via D2C and partner channels, reducing churn through intelligent renewal and retry mechanisms, and integrating deeply with global and local payment ecosystems like UPI Autopay and card mandates.
