This position will remain open for application based on business need, which may be before or after the 3-day posting window. **Job Description** **Position Overview** The Sr Staff Engineer in Renewable Engineering will perform engineering activities to support project development and assist with the technical design and evaluation of utility-scale solar projects in Invenergy’s target markets. **Duties and Responsibilities** * Screen prospective solar projects to identify potential risks and value * Define project constraints and buildable area considering existing infrastructure, topography, hydrology, and subsurface ground conditions * Prepare conceptual project layouts. Optimize layouts to maximize project value. * Analyze available meteorological datasets and apply long-term correlation to assess project resource characteristics * Estimate project annual energy production, energy uncertainty, energy probability values, and time-based production profiles * Conduct site visits to assess site suitability, participate in landowner meetings and community outreach events, and participate in monthly construction meetings. * Assist with federal, state, county, and local permitting efforts * Support the preparation of project sales proposals * Support project financing by responding to lender and independent engineer due diligence questions * Interface with the Project Management, Project Electrical Engineering, and Operations teams lea
