What They're Looking For.
Must Have
at least 5 years of progressive procurement or sourcing experience, negotiation skills with demonstrated success achieving cost savings and favorable contract terms, Proven experience managing strategic supplier relationships and conducting competitive sourcing processes, excellent analytical skills with proficiency in spend analysis and data-driven decision making, Ability to manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality, Proficiency with procurement systems, contract management platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Intermediate/Expert in Excel), Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, understanding of contract law, risk management, and procurement best practices, understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and risk management principles, familiar with legal aspects of contracting including reading and interpreting contracts and related documentation, ability to prepare amendments, and ability to explain to stakeholders the specifics of the contracts
Nice to Have
Bilingual English/Spanish fluency, professional certifications such as CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager), CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional), Experience with e-procurement platforms and sourcing tools, knowledge of sustainability and responsible sourcing practices, Experience in global or multi-regional sourcing environments, familiarity with facilities management, real estate services, or corporate services procurement, Advanced experience in cost savings and direct negotiations, Knowledge of quality and compliance for GxP spaces
