ABOUT THIS ROLE As a Senior Solutions Architect on the Delivery Architecture team, you are the senior technical lead for customer engagements within Astronomer’s Professional Services team. You work directly with engineering leaders, architects, and executive stakeholders to design and deploy data orchestration platforms on Astro, define a clear path to production, and support delivery teams through complex implementations. This role combines solution architecture with hands-on technical work, including building prototypes to validate designs, diagnosing issues, and unblocking delivery. WHAT YOU GET TO DO - Lead architecture reviews, workshops, and technical design sessions with engineering teams and executive stakeholders. - Design end-to-end platform architectures integrating Airflow with cloud infrastructure, compute frameworks, and data platforms. - Review delivery work to ensure high standards for scalability, observability, security, and operational excellence. - Diagnose and resolve issues, guide customers through deployments, migrations, and platform modernization. - Build reusable tools, frameworks, reference architectures, and best practices that improve delivery quality across the organization.
