Must Have

Experience creating architectural artifacts using Lucid or Visio – covering the solution end-to-end (scenario analysis, error handling, NFR, SRE etc.), Hands-on experience in implementing API, Microservices, Hands-on experience in cloud technologies (on-perm or AWS or Azure), Programming experience (Java, SpringBoot, Python), Deployment Experience (OCP, SRE, DevOps), Database knowledge (RDBMS e.g. SQL Server, No-SQL Databases e.g. MongoDB), Domain expertise in retail and commercial banking within a large financial institution

Nice to Have

Knowledge of OpenShift cloud technologies, Experience in developing AI solutions, particularly using Generative AI (GenAI) or large language models (LLMs)

while considering the current state environment and constraints

Identify opportunities to enhance solution resilience

Provide expert guidance and support to development teams in building and maintaining robust

and efficient applications for client-facing technologies

Raise awareness of potential technical and operational debt that may result from tactical approaches

Prepare or contribute to high-level solution designs (e.g.

Architecture Blueprints) that evolve throughout the initiative’s execution

Engage in hands-on development

**_Job Description_** **APPLICATION DEADLINE: MAY 22nd, 2026** _**This role can be located the Caribbean Banking Market or in Canada where the successful candidate resides**_ **What is the opportunity?** The Senior Solutions Architect will work collaboratively with the RBC Caribbean (RBCC) organization to design and architect complex solutions for process digitization for Cards, Payment domain and AI initiatives. RBCC oversees client-facing platforms such as Online and Mobile Banking, onboarding, payments, ATM, POS, Card management and various other capabilities essential for the day-to-day banking needs of retail, business, and commercial clients. We are seeking a senior architect who has a good grasp of the payment and cards domain. At the same time, the architect should be hands-on to develop POCs and help the development team push technology innovation. **What will you do?** * Define the overall solution technology architecture for initiatives within Cards and Payments domain. * Understand business requirements in their context and translate highly technical concepts into business and operational implications. * Design end-to-end technical solutions that align with enterprise architecture strategies, while considering the current state environment and constraints.
