What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Platform Engineering, expertise in application observability tools (New Relic, Datadog, or similar), structured logging, distributed tracing, dashboard/alert creation, Proven experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Octopus Deploy, deep knowledge of deployment automation, Solid understanding of application security practices, SAST, DAST, SCA tools, OWASP Top 10, DevSecOps integration into CI/CD pipelines, experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools, knowledge of trunk-based development, version control best practices, Understanding of SLO/SLI definitions, error budgets, reliability engineering principles, familiarity with secrets management solutions (Azure Key Vault, HashiCorp Vault), Proven ability to coach and mentor engineering teams, communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences, Consultative mindset, ability to influence and guide teams without direct authority, driving change across multiple teams and technical domains, Passion for continuous improvement, guiding, and establishing team self-sufficiency
