What you’d be doing in this role As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve. At the moment, this role is focused on: * Deeply understand the needs and workflows of platform engineers and other engineers developing internal capabilities and services, as well as broader users of the infrastructure platform at Canva * Developing software patterns and archetypes that allow engineers to iterate quickly, and which integrate seamlessly with our software ecosystem and infrastructure platform * Writing tools, services, configuration and whatever else is required to ensure that platform engineers have a low-friction experience shipping new services and capabilities * Consulting with internal users and other platform teams to bring clarity and alignment * Participating in planning rituals at the team and group level to ensure that the needs of platform engineers and infrastructure consumers are prioritised * Working alongside product managers to bring a product mindset to platform engineering at Canva You're probably a match if: * You have 5+ years of experience with the Java, Python, or Go programming languages * You have strong experience with Kubernetes, ideally including Custom Resource Definitions * You have solid experience wi
