Full Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE Join a well-funded AI/ML data analytics startup building an agentic data lakehouse that delivers trustworthy answers from messy enterprise data. As a Senior Software Engineer, Platform, you'll be a core member of the platform team shaping the data foundation that enables AI-driven analytics at scale — no heavy schema migrations or data movement required. This is a high-impact, zero-to-one role at an early-stage company backed by top-tier investors. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Agentic Semantic Layer: Build the system that gives AI agents the context to query enterprise data correctly and the guardrails to prove results — making AI-generated queries something teams can actually stake decisions on. - Distributed Agent Orchestration: Design and implement orchestration systems for agents that interact with the world, including API integrations, rate limiting, OAuth passthrough, model routers, scheduling, and token optimization. - Agentic Data Engineering: Architect AI-centric ETL pipelines for data lakehouses, enabling large-scale analytics for organizations with minimal data engineering resources. - Contribute across infrastructure, services, and frontend as the team and product evolve. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Required: Proficiency in Golang — this is a dealbreaker requirement. - Required: 4+ years of practical experience as a backend or platform engineer building scalable distributed systems. - Hands-on experience with gRPC/ConnectRPC, Trino, Kubernetes, DuckDB, and PostgreSQL in a distributed data platform environment. - Experience with data visualization tools, data engineering, data modeling, and big data technologies. - Proven track record at early-stage startups or building products from zero to one. - Strong CS fundamentals; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or comparable experience. - Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment and owning problems end to end. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Salary range: $200,000 – $350,000 USD ann
