What They're Looking For.
Must Have
At least 5 years of experience as a Software Engineer, web developer, or a similar role, Deep expertise in developing web applications, libraries, or SDKs using TypeScript/JavaScript, Hands-on experience with Node. js, Meaningful exposure to one or more modern server runtimes such as Bun, Deno, or Cloudflare Workers, Solid understanding of how they differ in module systems, APIs, performance characteristics, and deployment models, Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, You're based in San Francisco (Bay Area) or are excited about the prospect of relocating to this thriving tech hub
Nice to Have
Experience working with WinterCG, the Web-interoperable Runtimes Community Group, or other runtime interoperability initiatives, Familiarity with OpenTelemetry instrumentation in server-side or edge environments, A history of contributing to or maintaining open-source libraries, Experience engaging with open-source committees or working groups

Build the future of JavaScript development, Tackle complex challenges across the entire JavaScript ecosystem, Work on cutting-edge SDKs for Node.
js, Bun, Deno, Cloudflare Workers, and other modern server runtimes, Push the boundaries of what's possible in developer tooling, Plan, implement, and ship code, Write robust unit and integration tests, Craft crystal-clear documentation, Utilize AI tools to supercharge productivity, Collaborate with influential organizations and committees such as TC39, the Node.
js core team, and the OpenTelemetry SIG, Represent Sentry and help steer the future of JavaScript standards and runtime interoperability, Assist Customer Operations team to squash critical bugs, Interact directly with user base on GitHub and at industry conferences.
