Senior Software Engineer–Developer **Company:** The Boeing Company **Boeing Defense, Space & Security** (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a **Senior Software Engineer – Developer** to join the KC-46 team in **Tukwila, WA.** In this role, the individual will lead and directly contribute to all phases of software development for Mission Systems and Aerial Refueling Software with a focus on leadership, quality, process improvement, tool improvement and automation. We are seeking a leader that is passionate about aerospace and excited to work in a multi-disciplined, collaborative engineering environment that supports the design, development, and implementation of software for existing and emerging government and international programs. This exciting position requires demonstrated experience as a Software engineer, knowledge of the full software development life cycle (requirements, design, code, test and certification), ability to lead a team, and the clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to engineer new solutions and support existing capabilities for multiple programs and customers. Demonstrated critical thinking and troubleshooting skills are required. _The Boeing KC-46 “Pegasus” is the new US Air Force aerial refueling tanker aircraft designed to support multi-role missions including refueling, cargo/passenger transport, and medevac airlift. The KC-46 is a military commercial derivative aircraft based on the Boeing 767-2C aircraft and modified per US Air Force specifications for the primary mission of aerial refueling US and Allied aircraft.
