What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience with distributed systems design (design for failure, eventual consistency, asynchronous communication, circuit breaking, timeouts, etc. ), Experience in supporting the end-to-end product lifecycle, experience in using CI/CD systems (ideally also in creating them), Deep command of the Java programming language, Hands-on experience with clean code principles, and effective code reviews, Good understanding of persistence layer design and RESTful API design, command of the English language, both written and verbal, Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes/Docker is a must, Adequate seniority - ideally demonstrated by professional experience (typically 5+ years for our Senior Engineers)

Ability to coach and mentor other engineers
What You'll Do.
Contribute to an Internal Developer Platform by building internal products used by other engineers from the organisation, Focus on boosting the Engineering Productivity and Delivery Efficiency across the organizstion, and interact directly with engineers to discover opportunities that will drive that impact, Build & document services/libraries/tools with Java/Python/Node/Go on top of Kubernetes/AWS infrastructure, Own and evolve our CI/CD platform, Support our runtimes (e.
js) & frameworks (e.
Spring Boot), Establish technical direction for the team and the organisation, Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in components owned by the team.
