Must Have
5-7 years of experience in data platform, infrastructure, or backend systems engineering roles, systems engineering fundamentals, distributed systems, fault tolerance, performance tuning, Apache Spark, production experience on AWS EMR, building or managing CDC pipelines, Debezium, Kafka Connect, custom connectors, streaming systems, Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, serving data using Trino or Presto, multi-tenant environment, Python, Java, Scala, Unix/Linux systems, open table formats, Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg, infrastructure as code, Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD automation
Nice to Have
deep systems engineering expertise, passion for building reusable infrastructure, experience with Trino, experience with Delta Lake, experience with Iceberg

Why This Role Matters We're looking for a Data Platform Engineer with deep systems engineering expertise and a passion for building reusable infrastructure. You'll help architect and deliver the internal frameworks that power data ingestion, transformation, observability, and self-serve analytics across the company. Your work will be central to enabling scalable, multi-tenant ingestion pipelines (including CDC via Debezium), serving layers built on Trino, and robust tooling that lets teams move fast without compromising on data quality or platform health.
