What They're Looking For.
Must Have
5+ years of experience in JavaScript development, 3+ years of experience with React, Redux, Jest, and TypeScript, experience with browser extension development and the unique challenges it presents, Experience with modern web development tools and workflows, including build tools like Webpack, version control using Git, and CI/CD pipelines, Solid understanding of frontend architectures, including component-based development, state management, and UI/UX principles, Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and writing comprehensive unit and integration tests, Ability to maintain and improve a large codebase, ensuring it remains stable, scalable, and maintainable, problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex issues, Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with remote teams
Nice to Have
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience, Experience working with security technologies and understanding of cybersecurity principles, particularly with regard to browser security and data protection, Experience with performance optimization for browser extensions, focusing on load times, memory management, and responsiveness, Familiarity with web standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and accessibility best practices
