WHOOP Enterprise is entering a new phase of growth and reinvestment. We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to play a critical role in evolving the Enterprise platform; building core systems, shaping technical direction, and laying the foundation for a scalable enterprise product. This is a high-ownership role with meaningful autonomy. You’ll operate in a product-ambiguous environment, help define what “great” looks like, and partner closely with design, stakeholders, and leadership as the platform takes its next step forward. RESPONSIBILITIES: - - Own and evolve foundational systems for WHOOP Enterprise, starting with Enterprise APIs, authentication, and account management - Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs that support enterprise use cases and external integrations - Collaborate closely with design, analytics, and engineering partners to translate ambiguous product needs into scalable technical solutions - Define and influence technical direction, system architecture, and implementation standards for the Enterprise platform - Build systems with a strong emphasis on security, privacy, reliability, and correctness, appropriate for enterprise customers - Develop and maintain observability, monitoring, and operational practices to ensure system stability - Consistently deliver high-quality, well-tested code following best practices in software design and development - Help establish engineering foundations that scale, including documentation, patterns, and mentorship as the team grows QUALIFICATIONS: - - 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong foundation in backend development - Experience building and owning production backend systems and RESTful APIs (Java preferred)
