Our stack is Python + FastAPI on the backend with React frontends. The code you write goes directly into the hands of recruiters — real users, real impact, no layers of abstraction between you and the outcome. We're building a traditional application to help recruiters source candidates, and layering agentic AI capabilities on top of that foundation. It's an early, high-ownership environment where your decisions shape the product. The Role: We're hiring one Senior Backend Engineer to own and drive meaningful initiatives end-to-end. This isn't a ticket-taker role. You'll scope work, make the calls, navigate tradeoffs, gather feedback, ship to production, and maintain what you build — collaborating with a small team throughout. What You'll Do: End-to-end ownership. You can drive a medium-sized initiative from requirements to production with minimal hand-holding. You unblock yourself, communicate tradeoffs clearly, gather feedback on your plans, and ship. You take long-term responsibility for what you build. Agentic coding fluency. You use AI coding tools — Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or equivalent — every single day. You have real opinions about what works and what doesn' t.
