About Vector Vector builds mobile and web technology that makes freight move faster. Our platform is used by warehouses, distribution centers, and carriers to streamline check-ins, appointments, dock scheduling, and driver workflows. About the Role In your role as a Senior Software Engineer you will work with others to design, develop, and implement any changes, bug fixes, and new features to our web application used by our customers such as FedEx, Home Depot, Coca Cola, Sprouts, Clorox, Kraft Heinz and many others. You'll be working alongside team members in engineering, design and product to build and improve the features our customers rely on every day. Our web app is built with React and TypeScript. What You’ll Do - Work on a lean, experienced engineering team and participate in all aspects of the development process - Actively participate in architecture discussions - Develop new features and modify existing features - Conduct code reviews and collaborate with other engineers - Continuously look for ways to improve our code base and evaluate new technologies What We’re Looking For - Demonstrated professional engineering experience building complex, commercially shipped software products - Strong understanding, building and debugging of scalable, high performance web applications built with reusability and componentization in mind - Proficiency with Javascript frameworks such as React and Angular - Advanced level knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5 - Experience building front end components with React using modular architecture - Knowledge of state management frameworks, such as Redux or Flux - Strong critical reasoning and problem solving abilities - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field preferred You should be able to demonstrate superior understanding of CS fundamentals Benefits - Employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, 401K, life & disability insurance - Fle
