SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER Alicante, Spain (hybrid) We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Alicante engineering team. This is a hands-on role for someone who has moved — or is ready to move — from writing code to thinking in systems and architecture. You'll work closely with a team of strong engineers on infrastructure-heavy, technically complex problems that have a real impact on IT teams around the world. Lansweeper is evolving its engineering organization toward an AI‑native development model , and we’re looking for AI‑Native Senior Software Engineers who combine strong software engineering fundamentals with the ability to work effectively in an AI‑augmented workflow. This isn't a role for someone who wants to stay in their lane. You'll be expected to have opinions, move fast, and use AI tooling as a force multiplier in your day-to-day work. Team Info: You will join an enthusiastic team of 40 engineers based in Spain (global engineering team is 120 people). What you'll do * Design and build maintainable, scalable, observable, and well‑tested systems * Operate in an AI‑augmented workflow : decompose problems, guide AI tools, review AI‑generated output, and enforce production‑grade quality * Contribute architectural thinking across the team — not just your own squad * Apply strong systems thinking across data models, APIs, distributed systems, and service boundaries * Produce clear design proposals, technical documentation, and structured prompts that improve collaboration between engineers and AI systems * Work with a high degree of autonomy , making decisions under uncertainty and driving initiatives to completion * Apply AI tools actively in your workflow to accelerate delivery * Provide light mentorship to more junior colleagues * Collaborate with engineers across Alicante and internationally What we're looking for (Key Requirements) * 5+ years of experience in software engineering * Strong background in infrastructure, distributed systems, or b
