Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed. Manufacturing Software Systems (MSS) is seeking a Software Development Engineer who will help solve a variety of technical challenges related to manufacturing satellites, ground equipment, and associated ASICs. You will play an active role in accelerating the manufacturing of satellites to quickly build the Amazon Satellite Constellation. You will tackle challenging, novel situations and will have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams spanning a variety of domains: software, hardware, networks, RF, embedded, real-time, distributed, as well as industrial automation systems. You will design and develop manufacturing software to drive the assembly, calibration, testing, and provisioning of satellites. You will collaborate with teams from manufacturing engineering, product engineering, and security engineering to identify requirements and design manufacturing software. You will design and develop the end-to-end system capabilities required for manufacturing orchestration across factory production lines.
