Must Have
Java, Golang, or Python, designing and building distributed systems at scale, storage systems, query performance, and caching strategies, cloud platforms (AWS preferred), messaging systems (Kafka), CI/CD pipelines, work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage delivery timelines in fast-paced environments
Nice to Have
AWS, Kafka, growing engineers and leading by example, Curious about how advertising systems work and how to optimize them for user and business outcomes

## Description Job Summary: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the design and development of core systems that drive JioStar’s advertising capabilities - from ad delivery and targeting to measurement and optimization. You’ll own large-scale projects end to end, operate with autonomy, and play a key role in shaping the architecture and future direction of our high-throughput, low-latency systems. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on solving hard distributed systems problems and mentoring others toward engineering excellence. About the team: At JioHotstar, the Viewer Experience (VX) org is at the heart of how millions discover, engage with, and fall in love with our platform. We own the end-to-end user journey—from first app launch to daily habit loops—across Search, Personalization, Watch Experience, Interactivity, and more. We blend world-class engineering, ML, design, and data to deliver a seamless, personalized, and engaging OTT experience at massive scale.
