What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Experience in security operations, monitoring, incident response, knowledge of SIEM platforms, security alert triage, Experience analysing security event data, supporting incident escalation, Familiarity with AWS security services, controls, operational practices, Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, approaches, Understanding of monitoring automation, detection engineering, Hands-on experience with containment, eradication, recovery activities, Ability to collaborate effectively with infrastructure and application teams, communication skills, ability to guide technical stakeholders, A proactive mindset, focus on continuous improvement, Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain SC security clearance
Nice to Have
Experience leading small monitoring or security operations teams, Familiarity with cloud security operations, IAM controls in AWS, Knowledge of IaC recovery approaches, secure rebuild patterns, Experience with forensic data collection, evidence handling
What You'll Do.
Manage implementation of monitoring roadmap
Support development of monitoring strategy
investigate security alerts
Review security event data
Lead design and enablement of automated monitoring processes
Recommend and implement SIEM and network analysis tools
Drive continuous improvement
Support incident response activities
Work closely with infrastructure teams
Work closely with application teams
Ensure operational blockers are escalated
Support security operations within AWS environment
