The SRC Risk Engineering team takes a scientific, data-driven approach to enhance security across Amazon's business lines. We develop state-of-the-art tools and platforms leveraging our centralized data lake to identify emerging security risks and support their mitigation. By collaborating closely with security teams, we proactively seek out opportunities to design creative solutions, leveraging advanced analytics and learning models to provide continuous and actionable risk insights. As a Senior Security Engineer, you'll drive the development of innovative risk identification methods and play a crucial role in shaping our security tooling ecosystem. This role offers the unique opportunity to work at the intersection of security engineering, data science, and risk management while protecting millions of customers worldwide. Key job responsibilities - Design and support the development of data-driven risk identification methodologies that scale across Amazon. - Ideate new methods of risk identification and validate the output of new security tooling leveraging advanced analytics and machine learning - Drive innovation in our security risk detection - Ensure security tooling output meets or exceeds established targets and metrics - Partner with SRC and BST teams to identify and mitigate security risks - Champion data-driven security practices and provide technical leadership across teams - Mentor team members and contribute to the security engineering community About the team The SRC Risk Engineering team takes a scientific, data-driven approach to enhance security across Amazon's business lines.
