Join Roche, where every voice matters. ### ### The Position **Your department** As part of the Research and Development Department Chemistry and Biology, you provide the organization with state of the art, in depth knowledge in the wide field of biological interfaces with respect to our medical devices. Your knowledge about how the organism responds to our implanted or body worn devices will be essential in shaping our products currently under development and will provide valuable support for improvements of the products already in the market. Finally, the insights you generate will support shaping our portfolio of the future. In this position, success is defined by bringing scientific excellence into products satisfying our customers. **Your tasks** * Monitor life-science and -technology trends with relevance to our current portfolio and our pipeline * Identify fields of opportunity for scientific knowledge growth in the field of biological interfaces supporting RDC value streams * Conduct applied and basic research independently, in collaboration with or guiding colleagues from Roche or independent research institutions * Provide key know-how to guide pipeline decisions * Transfer knowledge into implementation into products under development * Support in the analysis of and the improvement of existing products **Qualification** * You have already successsfully achieved your Master degree or PhD (preferred) in respective scientific area or closely related discipline * Several years of progressive work experience in an appropriate scientific field allo
