What They're Looking For.

Must Have

8+ years of building solutions as a Data Engineer or similar fields, 8+ years working in Python and SQL with a focus on data, Experience leading projects, managing requirements, and handling timelines, Experience managing multiple customer-focused implementation projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes, and managing delivery milestones, Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the confidence to take control of project delivery., Quickly understand a highly technical product and effectively communicate with product management and engineering.

Nice to Have

Experience with data plotting dashboarding tools like React and/or Streamlit is strongly preferred, Experience working with pre-clinical data and lab scientists is strongly preferred

What You'll Do.

Leading the Scientific Data Engineering (SDE) Team

Building Tetra Data and productizable solutions

Leading internal design sessions

Architecting solutions

Gathering business and data design objectives

and integration solutions

Using AI agents to build comprehensive data schemas and parsers

Extracting reusable schema components and parsing functions

Productizing them into Python libraries

Building high-quality data pipelines

Building data applications

Verifying the solution fulfills customer requirements and provides value

Designing with quality backed by tests

Leading team-wide process/technology improvements on product quality and developer experience

Rallying the team to finish Agile Sprint commitments

Surfacing team inefficiencies and striving to resolve them

Resolving blockers and unclear requirements

Providing mentorship to junior SDEs

Showing leadership in every front

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Work directly with Product Managers and Solution Architects; Collaborate on project executions; Work closely with product managers, project managers, business analysts, data architects, and ML engineers; Tremendous support from a variety of teams, both internal and external; Team-focused leader; Collaboration is key to success; Trust and Collaboration core value
