Advanced degree in Physics, Optics, Lasers, or a closely related field or a bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of equivalent work experience, 5+ years of significant hands-on laboratory experience, Familiarity with photonics equipment, Expertise in writing brand-consistent content that meets project goals and addresses user needs, Organizational and Planning Skills, Great presentation and communication skills, Ability to understand the audience, to structure effective presentations, and distill key messages to effectively inform and persuade, Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, in a dynamic, fast-changing environment, Ability to be proactive in times of ambiguity, Excellent writing and presentation skills in English, Ability to Multitask, Be Detail Oriented, Ability to Solve Problems, All While Under Tight Time Constraints, Familiarity with SEO best practices
What You'll Do.
Create technical presentations
Create application images
Create marketing collateral
Inform and educate photonics community
Define and drive customer-centric marketing efforts
and execute technical content delivery
Support New Product Introduction (NPI)
Update website content
Manage product discontinuation/supersession
Create social media posts
Manage video/animation projects
Lead projects or ad hoc teams
Develop/implement website proposals
Produce technically accurate content
Handle multiple projects
Guide graphics and digital marketing staff
Communicate desired outcomes
Obtain necessary images
Coach junior team members
Review updates to presentations
Ensure Thorlabs' standards are followed
Ensure technical soundness
Provide feedback for new products
Participate in product development forum
