Unleash your talent and redefine what’s possible. _**Job Description:**_ Parsons is now hiring for a **Senior Roadway Engineer** to join our **Kansas City** Transportation team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to expand in your technical skillset, working alongside a world-class team of civil engineers on major regional infrastructure projects! The ideal candidate will report remotely, based in the Kansas City area. **What You 'll Be Doing:** * Lead the design and development of roadway projects, including concept, preliminary and final design, alignment, grading, and pavement design. * Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications. * Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. * Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met. * Conduct site visits and inspections to assess project progress and address any issues that arise. * Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff. * Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including AASHTO, FHWA, and state DOT requirements. * Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and technical reports. * Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project reviews. **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is desirable * Professional Engineer (PE) license is required * Minimum of 8 years or more of experience in roadway design engineering * Solid roadway geometric design background with pro
