Position Summary The Senior Regulatory Engineer serves as the technical authority for the interpretation and application of codes and standards governing IEM’s electrical distribution products. This role provides authoritative guidance on compliance pathways, supports cross-functional teams in translating regulatory requirements into actionable design and certification strategies, and serves as a primary technical interface with external certification bodies. The position supports new product development, product modifications, and continuity of compliant product offerings across IEM’s portfolio. Key Responsibilities The role is responsible for compliance with relevant industry regulations for multiple electrical distribution product lines. The position will support IEM’s expanding production campuses within the US and Canada. The Senior Regulatory Engineer position will include the following functions: Provide authoritative interpretation of applicable codes and standards (e.g., NEC, UL, CSA, ANSI/IEEE C37.20) and translate requirements into clear, actionable guidance for cross-functional engineering teams. Serve as a lead technical resource to R&D, Product Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Manufacturing on standards-driven design decisions and compliance pathways.
