What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Degree or doctoral qualification in engineering, physics or STEM, Thorough understanding of R&D lifecycle, Experience in development and application of sensing systems, Investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, Ability to evaluate system performance, Identify limitations, develop practical solutions, Drive continuous improvement, Ability to work effectively in uncertain programmes, Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, Ability to work across disciplines, Leverage internal and external expertise, Deliver integrated engineering outcomes, Sound professional judgement, Awareness of regulatory and safety requirements
Nice to Have
Experience applying Systems Engineering, Hands-on experience with experimental facilities, Experience specifying, procuring, and deploying instrumentation, Understanding of commissioning, calibration, and performance validation, Established professional network, Actively working towards chartered engineer status
