Full Job Description
Prysmian is looking for a **Senior** **Quality Engineer** to work in the Wrexham factory within manufacturing of power cables and network components. As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will have a broad range of responsibilities in order to ensure that products and processes meet quality standards, customer expectations and relevant regulatory requirement. The role involves monitoring, testing and improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and repeatability as well as working on reducing variations and cost of poor quality. The role requires a high level of, both, hands-on and soft skills, such as teamwork, communication, leadership and coordination competencies. **Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to :** * Developing and maintaining quality control plans and procedures for different product families according to existing standards and specific customer requirements. * Ensuring the correct application of work instructions and quality control plans together with applicable QMS procedures. * Managing customer quality claims, including intercompany issues. * Managing internal quality non-conformities, applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) and identify areas of improvement. * Monitoring supplier quality performance and managing supplier quality issues. * Driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions using tools like 8D, A3, FMEA, involving cross-functional teams when required. * Facilitating external (e.g., ISO, BASEC) and customer audits. * Supporting internal and supplier audits. * Monitoring quality KPIs such as COPQ, number of customer claims. * Analysing quality data in order to identify “data driven” improvement opportunities. * Maintaining and updating quality management system documentation, in coordination with the UK Quality Systems Manager. * Ensuring all tests and inspections on raw materials, components and finished products are conducted. * Ensuring measurement and test equipment is maintained and calibrated as re
