Must Have
Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or equivalent, Three to five years of experience in general accounting, CPA obtained or in progress, Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Nice to Have
Experience in real estate accounting, Working knowledge of English and bilingual French proficiency, Knowledge of Yardi accounting software, Experience with capital budget tracking and project monitoring, Familiarity with GST/QST filing requirements, Track record of process improvement and harmonization initiatives
What You'll Do.
Prepare monthly and year-end reconciliations
Prepare accruals and adjustment entries
Issue common area certificates
Issue annual financial statements
Develop operating budgets and forecasts
Track capital budgets
Analyze monthly budget variances
Calculate depreciation costs
Prepare documentation for year-end audits
Participate in financial controls reviews
Liaise with joint owners
Liaise with operations teams
Liaise with property services
Liaise with property financial administration
Prepare GST/QST filing documents
Recommend process improvements
