What They're Looking For.

Must Have

7+ years of experience in project management, real estate construction, or relative field, Bachelor's degree or equivalent of professional experience, In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles, Demonstrated experience with managing multiple, large, simultaneous construction projects, Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills, Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks, Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision, Superior interpersonal skills, ability to interface with a variety of personalities with professionalism, Ability to leverage business acumen and understanding of Carvana business to prioritize and execute in accordance with what is both feasible and beneficial for the company, Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, with an entrepreneurial approach to project management and a commitment to team support, Able to help create, develop, and implement process improvement(s), Must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners, Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, Must be proficient in MS Office and Adobe, Must be willing to travel as necessary (up to 50% of the time), Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Nice to Have

Multi Site Regional / National Experience preferred, Demonstrated experience successfully managing and leading a team

What You'll Do.

Manage the construction process from permitting through construction completion

Manage bid and contractor selection

Negotiate GC contracts

Manage vendors and internal procurement team

Review and update progress and cost reports

Review schedules and requirements for completion

Work with internal Design and Engineering teams to finalize design

Identify construction related issues prior to submission to AHJ

Direct the activities of vendors/consultants

Communicate with internal corporate leadership regarding schedules

Communicate construction methods

Communicate company policies and procedures

Communicate sustainability

Communicate quality control

Communicate performance standards

Participate in negotiating contracts with external vendors
