Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Science, or related discipline, Minimum 7+ years of experience in building science, building envelope consulting, or a related technical field, Proven experience managing construction, renovation, or rehabilitation projects from investigation through implementation, technical knowledge of building envelope systems including cladding, roofing, and waterproofing assemblies, Experience conducting building envelope investigations, condition assessments, and performance testing, Working knowledge of building codes, including provincial building codes and municipal bylaws, Demonstrated experience in technical reporting, stakeholder coordination, and construction-phase services
Nice to Have
Professional designation (P. Eng. , Architect) or eligibility for registration, Credentials in building science or sustainability (e. g. , BSS, LEED AP, WELL AP), Experience with energy efficiency strategies and sustainable building performance, Exposure to large-scale institutional or mixed-use developments, Experience with building performance claims analysis or litigation support

This role operates within multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams, delivering technical oversight across new construction, renovation, and rehabilitation programs for residential, commercial, and institutional assets. Project scope includes building enclosure investigations, design reviews, sustainability-driven upgrades, and construction-phase quality assurance. The role spans full project lifecycle delivery—from condition assessments and field investigations to rehabilitation design recommendations and implementation oversight—while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and performance requirements The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of experience in building science or building envelope consulting, with demonstrated responsibility in managing technically complex projects.
