Must Have
Extensive experience in signalling design, Extensive experience in signalling construction, Extensive experience in signalling testing, Extensive experience in signalling maintenance, HNC, HND, Degree, or equivalent technical qualification, written and verbal communication skills, Physically fit, Qualified to work trackside, Valid PTS certification, Able to manage time effectively, Prioritising tasks efficiently
Nice to Have
Applicable IRSE Licence(s), Experience of managing and co-ordinating works on site, Understanding of risk management, Understanding of CDM, Understanding of CSM, Knowledge of level crossings, Undertaken a railway signalling training scheme
What You'll Do.
Support engineering lead
Lead engineering for work packages
Promote safety culture
Promote engineering culture
Prepare design reviews
Support design reviews
Prepare Engineering Management Plans
Contribute to risk assessments
Write technical reports
Produce materials lists
Manage materials lists
Liaise with client engineers
Supervise design teams
Supervise construction teams
Resolve engineering issues
Assist in preparation of estimates
Assist in preparation of tender documentation
Support project management
Support sub-contract management
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple office locations; Co-ordination and supervision of multi-disciplinary design and construction teams; Resolving engineering issues with design teams
Communication Scope
Written communication skills; Verbal communication skills; Liaising with client engineers
Process & Methodology
Project engineering, Engineering Management Plans, Manage time effectively, Prioritising tasks efficiently, Managing and co-ordinating works on site, Support project management, Support sub-contract management
